Tours are run by the US army. Guy leading tour says troops at the DMZ must score above average on physical and mental aptitude tests. Minimum stay for these guys is one year - to be tour guides.

It's probably not worth the money to go on this tour. You get carted around on a bus to see things you can already see on youtube. The army guys are on a script and their jokes aren't that good.
Maybe the most interesting part was watching a propaganda video produced by the South as a primer on the DMZ and the 3rd Tunnel. Or Maybe it was just seeing part of Korea that wasn't under construction.
